Page 1 of 3 - Pinball Arcade Cabinet Mode - posted in Other Emulation: Morning Everyone, Does anyone have a quick guide in how to set TPA (The Pinball Arcade) up in a cabinet? I dont know if I am doing anything wrong but in Pinball FX2 you just change screen rotation in settings and tweak the DMD config file to display the DMD on the 2nd monitor and away you go. However there seems to be no.

The Pinball Arcade is a pinball video game developed by FarSight Studios. The game is a simulated collection of real pinball tables licensed by Gottlieb, Alvin G. and Company, and Stern Pinball, a company which also owns the rights of machines from Data East and Sega Pinball. Williams and Bally games are no longer available since June 30, 2018, as FarSight had lost the license to WMS properties, which has since passed to Zen Studios.
The game is available for download on a number of devices through their respective online stores, including Android (along with derivatives such as Kindle Fire and Ouya), iOS, Windows (through Steam), macOS (through the Mac App Store and Steam), PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 (through PlayStation Store), Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U in North America only, and Nintendo Switch.
Tables are available for free limited demo play on Android, iOS, and other platforms. Every month, along with the release of downloadable content (DLC), four select tables on mobile versions are free with no Pro Menu features. PC versions are limited to one free table.
A spinoff called Stern Pinball Arcade was released in June 2016 for Gear VR, PlayStation 4, PC, and other platforms. This is a direct collaboration with Stern Pinball, to expand on re-releasing the company's more recent releases.
Development
The Pinball Arcade is developed by FarSight Studios, who also developed Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Collection and Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection that were published by Crave Entertainment. Four tables were available initially with the game's launch: Black Hole, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, Tales of the Arabian Nights, and Theatre of Magic.

I'm a bit late to the party here but just discovered TPA on my droid and my jaw is on the floor. I've played vpin, fpin over the years and most recently tried out some cabs at Pinfest last week which was cool but not compelling imo. Well after playing TPA today with those stunning 3D graphics, I'd buy or build a cabinet version in a heartbeat - especially if the definition, color depth and 3D viewing angles are like the droid. Does anyone know if cabinet support is happening anytime soon? Most of the threads I found were from fall 2013. Cabinet mode is supported now, simply rotate the screen in settings and you are good to go, but not supported for an extra screen or dmd as yet - I think.I'm playing the current PC version on Steam (Pro pack) and there is no option to rotate the screen.
What version and system are you using where you see this? Thanks in advance for sharing.I also don't see an option to turn off the scrolling/zooming - something that's helpful when playing a vertical table on a horizontal monitor but not needed once in portrait mode on a vertical monitor.I've not had any luck reaching anyone at Farsight yet to ask them directly. I'm playing the current PC version on Steam (Pro pack) and there is no option to rotate the screen. What version and system are you using where you see this? For me I just went into general computer settings (not in the game) and rotated the screen and then started the game and it game just drops the images either side of the playfield and places the scores top centre. The portrait view still shows a little of the outside of the cabinet and floor but still looks pretty good though some refinement would be nice.I am looking forward to Timeshock to come out as that should be nice to play in a cabinet and they are catering for a cabinet.I am creating a pinball arcade cocktail table with a 32' HD Samsung led monitor and mac mini in which soon hope to hook up arcade buttons using a macipac.I wish Zen 2 Pinball offered a cabinet view as have some cool games and the lighting and gameplay is better than PA.png.png.
